Greetings NA Ambassadors (and anyone else who is interested) --
As today is the first Tuesday of the month, the first FAmNA meeting of the year will be held in #fedora-meeting at 9 p.m Eastern Time / 6 p.m. Pacific (everywhere else in between, you'll have to do the math).
The link for the meeting is here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Meeting:Ambassadors_2011-01-04
Add any agenda items that you see fit.
See you there.

Hi Larry et al. I hope to make this meeting today. I have been trying to gather more information on COSSFEST (Calgary, AB), but it looks a little 'ragtag' at this point. It seems that it happens only when someone grabs the reins and runs with it themselves (rather than a routinely scheduled event). It could also be in Edmonton this year and I am trying to find out more information on it. Just want to put it out there is anyone has more experience with them.
thanks

Hi, Scott --
Thanks for following up on this. Keep us posted regarding COSSFEST (and if it's in Edmonton, it would be easier for me to make it since the train runs from Vancouver to Edmonton :-) )
Anyone have more information about this to help Scott out?

I didn't get a chance to attend, didn't see the e-mail till today. I thought we were going to announce these before the day of the meeting? :(

Well, I try, Brandon. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, and I believe this week was one of those "don'ts," since the meeting notice went out on the day of the meeting. Sorry about that.
The North America meeting for Ambassadors is always the first and third Tuesday of the month starting at 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time in North America (that 0200 UTC the following day, if that's how you keep time) at the Freenode IRC channel #fedora-meeting.
If you keep this in mind, or make a note of it, you'll be good for subsequent meetings.

If you wish. Bear in mind that it's always the first and third Tuesday with exceptions, like the fact we skipped the third Tuesday in December because of the holiday season. That happens sometimes.
All of which is to say it's best to just mark it on your own personal calendar and keep up to date with discussions on the mailing list and #fedora-ambassadors.
