Dear fellow ambassadors,
we had a Fedora 24 Release Party yesterday here in Novi Sad, Serbia. Around 60 people came, and we all had loads of fun talking about Fedora and free open source software. I wrote a short event report on my blog here (picture album included):
https://nmilosev.svbtle.com/fedora-24-release-party-novi-sad
(will write more in depth one, soon as I have some time)
Anyway, since ours was one of the first release parties, I thought it would be nice to share the presentation file with the other ambassadors, so you don't have to make it from scratch. The presentation is in English. It is "split" into three parts:
1. What is Fedora and how to get Fedora and how to contribute to Fedora - with some nice graphs from State of Fedora 2016 talk (used with permission :)) 2. Tips and tricks for easier life in Fedora - stuff that people often ask (on Reddit) - how to get drivers and proprietary stuff in Fedora, live-respins etc. 3. What's new in Fedora 24 - quick overview of GNOME 3.20 and other stuff
The presentation is based on the excellent presentation from a few years ago made by our ambassador giannisk. Feel free to modify it/adapt it to your needs!
ODP (Impress): https://nmilosev.fedorapeople.org/f24rpns/f24rpns.odp
We also had a Fedora/Linux related quiz (which was really fun!) with 15 questions, feel free to use that as well:
ODP (Impress): https://nmilosev.fedorapeople.org/f24rpns/f24rpns-quiz.odp
People from my faculty helped a lot (the head of the CS department even mentioned the event on regional TV) and were very glad that we decided to have something like this here. We had tons of fun, and I hope we will have more events here in the future. :)
Kind regards, Nemanja
Great info. Thank you very much for sharing.
Regards!

Hey Nemanja,
thanks for sharing your event report with us. Looks like it has been a really successful release party.
I'm happy to see the Serbian community growing even bigger. :)
Take care! -Giannis

Nemanja:
Thank you for the two very informative presentation decks, and thanks to giannisk as well for the original main set.
