Hi All,
In China I saw these cool business cards used to refer booth visitors back to the project after they walked away. I took them to the LATAM FAD and people there liked them.
A marketing ticket has been opened about the messaging on them - your comments would be helpful.

Good, but...
Why we have 2 domain names?
This is completely confusing. We have fedoraproject.org leading to getfedora.org and then we still have spins.fedoraproject.org.
Mainly: what is the reason we have getfedora.org at all? Would it be much straight forward to shout out just one domain name!

The benefit of the lower "fedoraproject.org" was that you could add the word spins to the front to make it that if your particular conversation went in that direction. But you could also add "docs" or "wiki" followed by "/awesomepage".
The idea is that the card is a reminder of a particular conversation if needed but also a generically useful takeaway.

I can easily see that too!

I see just getfedora.org and join.fedoraproject.org, and both have a description beside to understand what they are for.

I don't see this as confusing at all. fedoraproject.org domains and/or subdomains are used for all websites and apps we have. getfedora.org http://getfedora.org.org is thought to be a brochure website, where people come just to get the OS. We have some more information there, but without wanting to change the main goal of that website.

Actually we don't use fedoraproject.org, but we could in the future. Also, what is the pro to drop a domain? I don't see it, and users are not affected at all. They just get redirected.
Regards.

Sorry but, yes "we" do use them!
See the spins.fedoraproject.org which is not even redirected (in the manner of HTTP, rather it is a subdomain inside the system -without seeking if the DNS record points somewhere else). And also fedoraproject.org _is in use_, only that it it has been redirected to getfedora.org does not take away the fact it is used -for redirection.
PRO: My opinion is that we should shout out the one and only one name. It is the marketing basics! You wouldn't automatically go and seek the "getbmw.com" if you have "bmw.com". Instead what is the point of having multiple domains in marketing? Rather we should use one and _from there_ we could link into another if necessary.

There are some related comments in the ticket, https://pagure.io/fedora-marketing/issue/255 - would you mind responding to those there so we can keep the discussion from splitting? regards,
