Update Information:
This is an fc4 update for gdb that includes security issues:
CAN-2005-1704 Integer Overflow in gdb
This problem is that gdb's internal copy of bfd
does not protect against heap-based overflow.
CAN-2005-1705 gdb arbitrary command execution
This problem allows unprotected .gdbinit files
to execute arbitrary commands during gdb startup.
Fixes for both problems are found in:
gdb-6.3.0.0-1.84
This release also contains some additional fixes
from the last update.

Sudo (superuser do) allows a system administrator to give certain
users (or groups of users) the ability to run some (or all) commands
as root while logging all commands and arguments. Sudo operates on a
per-command basis. It is not a replacement for the shell. Features
include: the ability to restrict what commands a user may run on a
per-host basis, copious logging of each command (providing a clear
audit trail of who did what), a configurable timeout of the sudo
command, and the ability to use the same configuration file (sudoers)
on many different machines.
