Post your dmesg, lsmod output, kernel config and run uaputl under
strace so we can see what is going on underneath the hood...
# strace uaputl bss_start
And also post the output of uaputl running under strace with arguments
that will cause the "ERR: not supported" failure.
Since I updated the kernel from 2.6. 33-blah to my custom I do not get any ERR not supported failure, but some commands simply do not come to an end but wait for ioctl.
