But the HDMI to VGA converter does. All the HDMI-to-VGA converter expects
(for best results) is 720P output on its HDMI IN input.
The question is: what video mode is the pandaboard using for text output
when it boots, on its HDMI port?.
That question will be answered when you run the xrandr command as
previously stated.
