From watchingthe post and personal research...i do believe i have got a few things norrect and would greatly appreciate if anyone can point out if i have finally got the right direction of the way all the rpms or build and create going around the f14 build process.

I greatly appreciate any information as i a just trying to come up with a newer build than what is avail and learn some of the lunix build process in passing.

After extended research and alot of misconseptions i finally come the the following.

1. the source rpms that make the base build of the fedora release are located at the following location
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/
<and any assocaiated mirror>
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/releases/14/Fedora/source/SRPMS/

2. the release files stay static at one moment in time and any updates from that period of time are than put in the fedora updates folder.
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/updates/14/SRPMS/

3. Koji ... is the system you are using to build the rpms's up the the lovel to match the current rpms release for f14 for the armv5tel build
http://arm.koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/index

4. Any rpms built and supplied help build the list of packages up to complete the full compiled set of rpms for f14 armv5tel

5. he repo in the koji is not hte full complete complement as of yet but hte build process moves forward...
http://arm.koji.fedoraproject.org/repos/dist-f14-build/latest/arm/

6. various f13/f12 packages and the like are used to bootstrap the build process and move forward completing the full list completed packages moving forward.

7. I have copied a current list from koji listed above and mirrored various packages to the following location and are using them to mirror an armv5tel directory and pull packages that are already finished wich i have a script that list what matching i686 packages still need to be done to complete the finished matching list.

am i finally on the right path here? or am i getting close?

thanks in advance

Hi all,

I'm looking for advise on some tablets that are likely able to run
Fedora ARM. There seems to be some some interest in making a Fedora
ARM for Tablets installation/rootfs. Any ideas on which devices are
suitable would be much appreciated.

It would be nice if the drivers are all provided upstream, if not,
that should not be a huge issue either, as long as the drivers a are
open source. Hardware modifications (even breaking and bricking) in
order to attach debuggers seem to trigger interest as well ;-)

I guess that OMAP tablets will be usable, but what models can be advised?

Many thanks to anyone with advise or ideas! Cheers,

Personally I'm awaiting the Archos G9 devices [1] to hit (September I think) as they have dual core Omap chips but also have the following useful bits:
- Option of a HDD
- Proper A usb2 port
- Mini HDMI port (so no need for an expensive dock)
- Wifi/BT/GPS

And they look to be a reasonable price.

The Toshiba Thrive looks to be of similar specs/prices but with a NV Tegra 2 chip.

More details of that the Trive has just appeared here
