alignment of floats

Hi,

after reporting a test failure for OpenEXR [1] on various arches,
upstream reproduced it with RPi, but realized that the root cause is in
the lib itself and it's a problem with alignment requirements for
floats. Anyone here who could help them to better understand the issue
and/or propose a fix?
