I don't think we can use both keyword and UID generated by yourls, Tim is
that right? We can always generate our own UID like 6 characters so it
would be a small chance to have a duplicate url, but still there is a
chance. But other than that, I like this format.

we're
limited to '-' as a delimiter (if yourls is configured for that) and
everything else is stripped out ('.', '_' etc.)

what is supported and what is not? Thanks.
So we are indeed limited to '-' which is available via plugin. And then
yourls provides two kinds of encodings:
Base 36 encoding uses 0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
Base 62 encoding uses
0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
The first one is default, so we will need to change that.
If we wanted to use '/', we'd need to write a plugin (which is rather
trivial from what I saw) but I don't think we want to have another thing
to worry about in case of new release inconsistency.
