Who is going to be in charge of deciding who gets this badge and who
does not? How is it going to be awarded?
It is easy for attendee's badge. We can print QR code, put somewhere at
the event venue for attendees to scan it.
Yeah. The only difficulty is that we have to have a trusted person who is either given the qrcode or is given the right to make qrcodes.
For speaker's badge, we can have another special QR code or organizers
can decide manually.
Same problem applies here.
For organizer's badge, nb (or me, if you need another person) can easily
check on http://softwarefreedomday.org/ website and grant it manually. This person(s) would be in charge of deciding speaker's badge.
If you are volunteering to be responsible for the SFD badge, that would work. I'm not sure nb would want the extra responsibility.. but we could ask him. :)
I could authorize you (or both you and nb) to be able to award the badge(s) and create QRcodes for them. If people come asking the sysadmin- badges group about the badge, we can just tell them to 'go talk to tuanta'.
How does that sound?
