Hi,
I love the Fedora Badges system!
While collecting badges I noticed a couple of badges whose criteria I think I've satisfied but which I haven't been awarded. I've waited a week or two in case there was a regular check performed for them.
One is the Curious Penguin (Ask Fedora I), and I think the problem might be that I signed up to the Ask Fedora site before Open ID was added to it. I use Open ID to log into it now though: https://ask.fedoraproject.org/users/114/tim-waugh/
The other is Master Tagger (Tagger IV). It says "Voted on 1000 tags for packages in Fedora Tagger", but the criteria seems to actually refer to voting on or adding tags. My "score" in the tagger app is 1451, so I would have thought I'd be over 1000 just for votes in any case.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Tim. */

Hi Tim! I'm glad you like it! :)

Yeah, in this case your ask fedora username has to match your FAS name. We don't yet have a way to retroactively link the two.
I think that ask fedora lets you change it -- try poking around your profile there.

This one has misled a couple other people too. You 'score' on fedora-tagger is somewhat complex. I think you get 2 or 3 points for adding a new tag and only 1 point for upvoting a tag. You therefore might have a score over 1000 while still only having voted on less than that threshold.
Someone added a patch recently that will show exactly how many votes you have to your little profile widget on tagger to help dispel this confusion, but it hasn't been pushed to production yet. Apologies!
Cheers! -Ralph

Changing the username won't get you the badges retrospectively, not even if you post new answer/question. You only get badges for new questions or answers with new username.

I never thought of trying that. Thanks, yes, that worked.

Aha. As it turned out I was only a few shy of 1000.
Now I have both of those. :-)
I have some ideas for new badges, and I'm aware there is a badge for suggesting a new badge idea so I'd like to make sure I do that right. Is it just a case of submitting a trac ticket describing the badge?
Thanks, Tim. */
PS. Not sure why the subject line had the first two words switched around. My sent mail had "Some badges whose..."

Cool -- good to hear.

Heh, congratulations! ;p

Yes, that's right. :) Thanks in advance!

Hmm, did I do it wrong?: https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-badges/ticket/204
I didn't get the badge, but it has since been awarded to someone else who filed a ticket: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/badge-muse-badge-ideas-i
Should I have set "has a name" and "has a description" when I originally filed it? Wasn't sure if that was for a triager to do.

We had some rocky outages over the last week. You may have submitted the idea during a window when the awarder was down.
I'll go award it manually since it missed you. Sorry about this. :/

No, the rule is pretty simple. It just looks for a "new ticket" message: https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/badges.git/tree/rules/badge-muse-01.yml

Oops, my bad timing then...
