Can't author CD/DVD

Hello, Now this time problem is with my disk authoring program. I use Nero Linux 4 generally but never needed that after the switch to Fedora. Today I needed it for writing some contents to a CD. Strange thing happened then. When I tried to write the CD with Nero, Nero writes the image on my HDD rather than the CD. Tried k3b then. Error is now looking like this: MP3 Audio Decoder plugin not found. K3b could not load or find the MP3 decoder plugin. This means that you will not be able to create Audio CDs from MP3 files. Many Linux distributions do not include MP3 support for legal reasons. Solution: To enable MP3 support, please install the MAD MP3 decoding library as well as the K3b MAD MP3 decoder plugin (the latter may already be installed but not functional due to the missing libmad). Some distributions allow installation of MP3 support via an online update tool. Tried issuing this command: [Nirjhor@localhost ~]$ su -c 'yum install libmad' Password: Loaded plugins: presto, protectbase, refresh-packagekit 0 packages excluded due to repository protections Setting up Install Process Package libmad-0.15.1b-13.fc12.i586 already installed and latest version Nothing to do [Nirjhor@localhost ~]$ Went to windows and finished the job with Ashampoo burning studio 10. Can't start dolphin as root via shell

Facing trouble installing Oxford Dictionary

Hello, I am trying to install oxford dictionary on Linux. It comes with a shell script. Here's what I've done. [root@localhost Nirjhor]# cd OALD7/ [root@localhost OALD7]# cd linux/ [root@localhost linux]# ls installation.sh vlc [root@localhost linux]# chmod +x installation.sh [root@localhost linux]# ./installation.sh Verifying archive integrity... All good. Uncompressing .......................... It's installed in /usr/share/oald and the binary path is /usr/local/bin....... Disabled SElinux and whenever I'm issuing: [root@localhost oald]# ./oald7 Nothing happens. The screen get stuck........ There is no installation doc either. And last point is, previously errors were popping up stating that it's conflicting with SElinux. Regarding SElinux

Hello, Recently studied about SElinux. I know it's not a firewall rather some sets of policy which tells computer which,when & how a program can access the network. My question is, is it utterly necessary to keep this sort of junk enabled or I could easily disable it forgetting it's existence. Problem while setting up TOR

Hello, I was trying to setup TOR (doesn't matter why I just wanna do). But things get messed up. Let me tell you my steps first: **First I created a repo of TOR in my /etc/yum.repos.d/ with: [torproject] name=Tor and Vidalia enabled=1 autorefresh=0 baseurl=http://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org/rpm/fc12/ type=rpm-md gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=http://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org/rpm/RPM-GPG-KEY-torproject.… **Then installed it with "yum install tor" **Uninstalled privoxy with "yum remove privoxy" **Installed polipo with "yum install polipo" **configured polipo with "nano /etc/polipo/config" (What is my current polipo configuration? check https://svn.torproject.org/svn/torbrowser/trunk/build- scripts/config/polipo.conf) **Problem is now, after issuing "/etc/init.d/polipo restart" this is happening: [root@localhost Nirjhor]# /etc/init.d/polipo restart Stopping polipo: [FAILED] Starting polipo: Established listening socket on port 8118. ##Installed torbutton for firefox but can't browse anything with it. Any good mac transformation pac for KDE 4.4?

Hello, All I managed after much searching was baghira. But it is for KDE 3.5 and emulates Jaguar (10.2) rather than Snow Leopard (10.6). Is there any good transformation pac? Boxee ain't installing

Can't start compiz manager
