Tomorrow I will take down Beaker's Gerrit installation for upgrading to 
version 2.8.1, which has a number of interesting new features:

I'll start the upgrade at 01:00 UTC, in theory the outage should only 
last a few minutes but it looks like a tricky upgrade so I'm giving some 
heads up just in case.

I finished the upgrade an hour or so ago. Everything seems to be working 
normally.

I enabled the new change screen, but it's a pretty drastic change (and 
not entirely for the better, in my opinion). There is a user preference 
to opt in to the old change screen if you don't like the new one.

I also enabled the Lucene indexing support, so it should now be possible 
to search the full text of patches in Gerrit.

Oh good, it's not just me. My initial reaction was "wow, they managed to
make it even *harder* to read by making it more cramped".

On the other hand, it does have a "Cherry Pick" button (the old screen
gained the new "Rebase" button, but not the Cherry Pick button)

Yeah I get the impression that it is actually better, I just
feel it will take a while for me to really believe it.
