Utilitário para Fe dora Core que conserta som de arquivo MP3

Tem algum utilitário para Fedora Core, baixável pelo yum, que
"conserte" o som de um arquivo MP3?
O problema é que eu tenho alguns MP3 (ripados de CD ou
convertidos de .flv baixados do youtube via youtube-dl)
em que o som está _muito_ baixo. O que eu queria era
um programa que pegasse o "pico" de som, e aumentasse
globalmente o som para um nível razoável.
Eu sei que tem utilitários que fazem isso para imagem
(alguma opção do "convert" do ImageMagik (sp?) faz isso,
ou seja, pega uma imagem muito escura e clareia),
então imagino que deve ter para som.

Samba perdendo conexão

Bom dia Amigos.
Tenho uma rede com 15 micros, sendo que 13 deles com windows 98, 1
com windows 95 e um com Windwos XP. Todos esses micros estão se
conectando a um servidor Linux RedHat 9, utilzando o samba. Acontece que
enventualmente as maquinas trancam a ponto de ter que reiniciá-las. As
vezes trana uma do caixa; outra hora tranca uma máquina da venda; e
assim vai. verifiquei os arquivos de log, mas não consegui resolver o
problema. Segue meu arquivo de log.

scanner via rede wireless

Olá pessoal, no meu trabalho tem uma impresora multifuncional da XEROX (
workcentre 4118) de uso corporativo de pequenas e médias empresas.
No manual da impressora informa três formas de ultilizar o scanner, uma com
a máquina conectada direto em um terminal por um cabo USB, a segunda com a
máquana ligada a um servidor (USB também) onde os usuário podem digitalizar
seus documentos e depois pega-los em uma pasta pública e a terceira é
instala-la via rede. Pois é, a do meu trabalho está ligada na rede porém não
estou conseguindo configurar a xerox pra scaniar documentos (no manual só
diz que é possível, porém não diz como).
Meu servidor é um FC4, procurei me informar e descobri um programa chamado
SANE, instalei o mesmo más mesmo assim não consigo ultilizar o serviço de
impressão.
Não tenho certeza de estar ulilizando corretamente a ferramenta (SANE).
Alguém pode me ajudar?

Bom Dia Pessoal,
Pessoal ainda estou engatinhando e tentando aprender.
Mas algumas coisas ainda pegam....
Estou com um Squid ja todo funcionando.
Mas as configurações que coloquei no rc.local nao sobem, ja coloquei no /etc
no /etc/rc.d/rc.local
e tambem a minha placa numero 2 "eth1" nao sobe.
Ja criei manualmente o arquivo ifcg-eth1coloquei até para chamar ela dentro
do rc.local, mas como o rc.loca
nao esta subindo.... O Fedora q instalei foi o live kde......
Outra coisa estranha que notei é qe o nome no console fica alguns numeros
que parecem ser da placa de rede,
ja alterei o hostname, mas quando reinicio volta os numeros......
Nao estou entendendo o que podera estar acontecendo. No 5 e 6 nao tive estes
problemas.
Alguem poderia me ajudar?

Yahoo e a sua falta de informação

Parece que o Yahoo tem tomado conclusões precipitadas quanto ao software
livre.

Como qualquer coisa, o modelo de desenvolvimento de código aberto também tem

acreditam que software proprietário ainda tem vez:"

É claro que tem a sua dose de problemas, mas concerteza isso foi meio
exagerado.
Absurdos:
1) Custos de suporte e treinamento que muitas vezes são mais elevados que a
licença dos softwares proprietários, ai ai...
Quanto que dá a licença anual do Windows Vista + Micosoft Office +
Anti-vírus + (Alguns outros aplicativos proprietários) que normalmente as
empresas adotam?
Empresas que usam linux normalmente nunca pagam suporte e treinamento aos
empregados a não ser que esteja migrando, a pior das empresas que use
software livre no mínimo deve colocar nos requisitos de trabalho:
- Requerido noções básicas de linux. (cursos disso são oferidos em muitos
lugares por R$ 40,00)
E isso eu sempre vejo.
Contando também que não existem vírus no linux, assim, empresas que usam
software livre não gastam com anti-vírus e problemas mor devido ao mau
funcionamento dos mesmos (Que sempre deixam alguma coisa passar).
4 – *Restrições contratuais*: GPL é GPL, quem conhece a licença sabe que
este tipo de coisa é impossível, alguém me cite um exemplo desse tal de
"retorno ao modelo fechado", se houver, faça o favor de levantar processar
jurídico contra.
5 – *Estímulo: Nada a ver, não preciso nem comentar este ponto, qualquer
programador esperto vai saber como lucrar encima de um software desenvolvido
e falando de GPL as possibilidades de lucro são enormes pela facilidade de
difusão (não existe pirataria).
*6 – *Organização*: Quem são os que "dizem que não passa de um mito"? A
Microsoft? E o que são o Fedora, o Debian, o Suse, o Mandriva? E todo o
resto bem sucedido? SO's desenvolvidos por um, dois ou três pessoas que
escrevem mais 10 mil linhas de código por segundo? Só se fossem o Neo a
Trinity e o Morpheus.
7 – *Abertura*: Fala sério, quem usa Fedora ou qualquer outra distro decente
sabe que o Projeto de desenvolvimento tem um cronograma de lançamento, no
caso do Fedora, se eu não me engano a cada oito meses é lançada uma nova
versão.
Não sei como esse pessoal tem tanta cara de pau para escrever um artigo
desse tipo e publicar sem ter nenhum conhecimento do assunto.

Olá pessoal
seguinte... eu instalei o Adobe a tempos aqui no meu Fedora e na instalação
habilitei ele como padrão. Mas agora eu acostumei com o padrão que vem no
Fedora (que é mais leve - Visualizador de Documentos Evince) e queria
colocar ele como padrão. Como posso fazer isto?

Fedora + Mono + Oracle 10g Ex

Boa noite a todos,
venho tentando desenvolver aplicações cliente/servidor com acesso a
bancos de dados no linux há algum tempo.
Mas desde que comecei optei pela seguinte combinação: Fedora (por ser
uma distribuição que me chamou a atenção), Mono (porquê estou aprendendo
a programar em C#) e Oracle (10g Express, pois é um SGBD confiável, e
robusto).
Não tenho conseguido criar as minhas aplicações, pois quando compilo o
código no Monodevelop, o debugger acusa a falta de uma biblioteca de
acesso ao banco (libclntso). Já instalei o Oracle, rodei os scripts, mas
ainda não consigo acessar.
A biblioteca existe, e o arquivo de configuração do mono está correto,
mas mesmo assim não consego compilar.
O Fedora está com o SELinux desabilitado
Através da Ferramenta de Desenvolvimento do Oracle (Application Express)
eu consigo acessar o endereço (127.0.0.1:8080).
Toda vez que eu rodo os scripts de configuração do Oracle, as variáveis
do ambiente não são atribuidas ($ORACLE_HOME, $LD_LIBRARY_PATH)
Eu gostaria de saber se alguém aqui já teve esse problema e como resolveu.
Minhas configurações são:
Proc: Celeron 2.8 (Toshiba A65-S126)
Memória: 1GB
Kernel: 2.6.22.1-41.fc7 (Fedora 7)
Oracle: 10g Express (10.2.0.1)
Mono: 1.2.3-3.fc7
Mono-Data-Oracle: 1.2.3-3.fc7

Notebooks compatíveis com Linux

Oi pessoal. Pretendo comprar um nootebook mediano (no máximo R$ 2.500)
para instalar, o fedora, que é a distribuição linux que uso no meu
desktop. Pretendia compara um ACER 5050, mas soube que ele é muito ruim
e quebra fácil. Além disso, é muito complicado instalar o linux nele.
Alguém tem alguma sugestão?
