Problemas em recuperar backup de Fitadat

Galera estou tendo um problema sério com fitadat. Jogo os dados para a fita,
consigo ver o que tem dentro da fita, porém quando tento recuperar o backup
ele me da a seguinte mensagem:
[root@fbrasil ~]# tar -xvf
/dev/st0/BackupFULL-7-18-12-2007-Tue.tar.gz/imocom/temp/
tar: /dev/st0/BackupFULL-7-18-12-2007-Tue.tar.gz: Não é possível open: Não é
um diretório
tar: Erro não é recuperável: saindo agora
para ler o conteúdo estou dando o comando abaixo:
[root@fbrasil ~]# tar tvf /dev/st0
-rw-r--r-- root/root 23400940139 2007-12-18 23:55:30
fbrasil/backup/BackupFULL-7-18-12-2007-Tue.tar.gz
Alguém tem idéia de como resolver isso?

Fedora7 travando notebook

Na instalação do fedora ele já trava se seleciona os pacotes... tenho q
deixa sem nenhum pacote selecionado que ele instala. Dai entao depois de
instalado quando vai atualizar com o yum ele fica travando tb...
A marca eh um acer travelmate 4000

problema na instalação courier-authlib

Pessoal eu estou tentando instalar o courier-authlib para depois
instalar o courier-imap, mas qd do o comando ./configure ele entra num
tipo de loop e não acaba.
alguém sabe o que pode ser?

Montar partições do Windows e outras no Fedora 8

Eu instalei o Fedora 8 no meu PC, mas quando tentei editar o arquivo
/etc/fstab e reiniciar para ver se ele montava e obtive um erro do tipo
"wrong fs type", algo assim (não dava muito tempo para ver isso durante a
inicialização).
O arquivo fstab estava assim:
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / ext3
defaults 1 1
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3
defaults 1 2
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs
defaults 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts
gid=5,mode=620 0 0

Existem os diretórios 'windows' e 'winlin' em /mnt. Se eu logar como root,
essas partições são montadas se que eu faça nada. Como eu deveria fazer para
acessá-las como um usuário comum?

REPOSITÓRIO LOCAL COM YUM

Para Debian e derivados, criar um repositório local para uma rede interna é
algo extremamente simples com o APT-MIRROR ou o APT-CACHE, sem citar outros
recursos. Entretanto, para pacotes RPM eu nao encontrei material para minha
pesquisa ou pelo menos não soube aonde procurar.
A pergunta é: Para pacotes RPM do Fedora/Redhat, qual ferramenta utilizar
para criar um repositório local e ele ser acessado com o gerenciador YUM?

E não querendo ser chato mas já sendo, está mesma máquina não se auto
desliga após o shutdown, tenho que desliga-la segurando o botão.
Aparece a o "system halted" mas não desliga a máquina, só o sistema é claro.
