Galera acho que falta so um pouco pra instalar o modem .Eu instalei os pacotes :
kmod-slmodem 2.9.11-22.lvn8 kmod-slmodem-2.6.23.9-85.fc8 slmodem 2.9.11-4.20070813.lvn7
Mas quando o sistem inicia o serviço slmodem da uma falha com a seguinte mensagem:
slmodem failed. The error was: Starting SmartLink modem daemon: Please edit /etc/sysconfig/slmodem [FALHOU]
entao eu abri o arquivo indicado e ele ta assim
