I'd like to propose moving comps to fedorahosted git. Why? Because CVS is a pain.
I can work on fixing the automated releng tasks that use comps.
What I'd like to know is if doing this at some point over the next few weeks (say, post-Alpha) would be a problem for people. If it is, we can push it off until after F13 ships.

I'm fine with doing it whenever.

I would make this one of the major features of F13 if it were up to me ;-)
IOW: +1

I know mash currently does a checkout of comps when it starts. I'm not sure if bodhi just relies on that, or if it also does it's own checkout.
We have a lot going on in the compose/bodhi area with NFR... I'd be leary of doing this until we make sure those new paths are working.

It does its own; I'd be on the hook for fixing it.

Given the lack of negative response, I'm intending to do this next Thursday, March 11. I can leave the CVS version around in a read-only mode just in case I miss some processes, or we run into issues. We can always revert if needed.
I'll open a ticket with FESCo just as a notification.
