Registration via activation keys
by Tomas Strachota
Hi,
we're facing an issue with activation key registration against Katello.
The method 'updatePackageProfile' after registration is not sending the
client certificate with the put request. This causes failures in the
registration process.
I've sent a patch that solves the problem to candlepin-patches. Could
somebody please review it?
Registration via activation keys is one of the basic Katello scenarios.
Thanks,
Tomas

Katello is looking to do a named release on wednesday
by Bryan Kearney
One question i have is about which candlepin is katello using. I heard
that the katello guys are exposing the virt-who interfaces. What version
of candlepin is this being done against? I see 0.4.25 in the repo. Does
this have the virt API changes?

What data do we need to capture to debug stuff?
by Cliff Perry
I have a backlog item for a sosreport or spacewalk-debug type tooling
for Katello. Here is my initial list of files or directories to capture.
Assume sosreport captures ps output, rpm -Va, rpm -qa, lots of general
config from /etc/ and logs from /var/ already so trying not to duplicate
sos, but capture beyond it.
What is missing?
Candlepin + Tomcat
/etc/candlepin/
/etc/tomcat6/
/var/log/candlepin/
/var/log/tomcat6/
Pulp, grinder, mongodb
/etc/grinder/
/etc/mongodb.conf
/etc/pulp/
/etc/qpid/
/etc/qpidd.conf
/var/log/mongodb/
/var/log/pulp/
Katello + PostgreSQL
/etc/httpd/conf*
/etc/katello/
/etc/sudoers
/etc/sysconfig/katello
/var/lib/pgsql/data/pg_hba.conf
/var/lib/pgsql/data/postgresql.conf
/var/log/httpd/
/var/log/katello/
/var/log/puppet/
Thanks,
Cliff

UniqueTag cannot be cast to Function
by Lukas Zapletal
Hello,
with the latest Candlepin I have got this error
subscription-manager register --org=org_rhsm_325fbec
--activationkey=ak1_325fbec --force
Runtime Error org.mozilla.javascript.UniqueTag cannot be cast to
org.mozilla.javascript.Function at
org.fedoraproject.candlepin.policy.js.JsRules.init:64
I thought refreshing fake manifest import being used fixes the issue,
but after I generated a new one today (the rules JS file has increased
in size a lot) I still see this error.
Its a blocker for Katello, please help. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thank you. (RHBZ 751101)

Adding a simple message to redhat.repo
by Mike McCune
I often subscribe a system with rhsm and examine the redhat.repo file to
find it empty. I often forget that a 'yum repolist' will populate this
file and figured we could have a simple message in the file to indicate
this.

NPE fetching owner info?
by Mike McCune
We are getting a NPE as shown below calling:

Not entirely sure why, the app seems to be behaving normally, running:

StaleStateException while deleting an org
by Lukas Zapletal
Hello,
got this regression in Katello when I create an org, import some
certificates there and then delete the org.
The thing is it works fine on Fedoras, but it fails with this error on
EL 6.1 (GOLD):
Test suite Provider import
----------------------------------------------
org create [ OK ]
provider create [ OK ]
provider import_manifest [ OK ]
org delete [ FAILED ]
org delete --name=Import_Org_dccc6ba
RestClient::InternalServerError: Candlepin::Owner: 500 Internal Server
Error {"displayMessage":"Runtime Error
org.hibernate.StaleStateException: Batch update returned unexpected row
count from update [0]; actual row count: 0; expected: 1 at
org.hibernate.jdbc.Expectations$BasicExpectation.checkBatched:85"}
(DELETE /candlepin/owners/Import_Org_dccc6ba)
katello-0.1.98-1.git.0.31a0249.el6.x86_64
katello-cli-0.1.10-1.git.1062.80beb3d.el6.noarch
candlepin-0.4.25-1.el6.noarch
pulp-0.0.237-5.el6.noarch
subscription-manager-0.98.2-1.el6.x86_64
python-rhsm-0.98.2-1.el6.noarch
Wild guess: Looks like Candlepin is still working on something after
import while there's a request to delete the record -> bang .oOo. ?
Hints? Thanks...
