职位1 Job description The Linux Technology Center organization in Greater China STG is seeking open source software engineers for design, development and test of Linux and other Open Source software products. These are challenging and high growth opportunities for new initiatives, talent development and technical leadership growth. This team is an integral part of the global Linux Technology Center as well as the WW Linux community. In addition, this organization will support Greater China sales team (Hardware, Software, Services) to win with IBM Open Systems in existing and new markets and drive local requirements to extend Linux reach in China.
Responsibilities Build reputation in external Linux Community Own and work on one or more kernel components, develop deliverables ensuring on time and with quality Collaborate with global development peer engineers
The candidate should have: Proven track record and years of experience for Linux kernel development or related Strong C programming skill Strong data structure and algorithm development skill Strong background on Linux OS, in any of the following components: virtual memory management, process scheduling, networking, synchronization, virtual file system, etc. Problem analysis expertise both in defect and performance issue resolution
We prefer candidates with: Passion on Linux kernel development Experience in open source community Knowledge of powerpc architecture

We prefer candidates with: Experience in open source community Knowledge of software development methodologies, Linux design and architecture Knowledge of powerpc architecture

We prefer candidates with: Passion on Linux device driver and KVM development Experience in open source community Knowledge of powerpc architecture
The position requires capability to quickly grow into expert in Linux device driver or KVM with previous experience and talent in C programming and algorithm development. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and a self-starter.
