Hello - trying to restart regular classroom sessions
by Ankur Sinha
Hello,
We've been discussing how we could bring back the Fedora Classroom
sessions we used to have at the Join SIG[1,2]. There are obviously lots
of ideas and some community members are keen to upgrade the system to
something more than IRC based instruction sessions too. This requires
careful planning, and based on what the goal is, may require more
infrastructure etc..
So, while this is being worked on, I thought we'd at least resurrect
the classic IRC classrooms and get back to teaching and learning.
I've gone ahead and cleaned up the wiki page a bit[3]. As nirik
suggested on one of the tickets, before I discuss publicising the
resurrection with Marketing/CommOps, we'd like to have a few classes
lined up. I've volunteered for two roles: instructor and instructor
recruiter.
I can take one of these to begin with:
- Packaging 101 (walk through the hello world packaging page)
- Git 101
- Vim 101
If you'd like to help, please consider volunteering for one of the
roles[4], and if you know people that can take sessions, please request
them to do so.

Nominating myself of Fedora QA team Classroom Session
by Sumantro Mukherjee
Hey All,
I want to go ahead and start working on the classroom material for basic understanding of Fedora QA activities.
Focusing on Manual testing (release validation , update testing and test days) and then kick it up a notch and help
contributors with a good amount of python knowledge to look at openQA and taskotron.
I will be creating a template soon and post it here.
Thanks
Sumantro
