[Session Proposal] Rust on Fedora
by Sumantro Mukherjee
Hey
I would like to share some knowledge on Rust. It's a programming language which is blazing fast and powers the new Firefox Quantum.
This session will start with what rust is, setting up rust and then writing a small application.
We do have a rust SIG in Fedora and we would love to see more Fedorans coming forward to test rust and cargo(package manager for rust)
experience in Fedora Ecosystem.
Thoughts?
Thanks

Re: Looking for Fedora classroom wrangler(s)

Yes, I have a FAS account (giardia) I will add myself to wiki in wranglers
now and mcee when I will be familiar with irc tasks during classes. What
are the requirements to edit fedocal? Should I be in some SIG?
Thanks

[In queue] Fedora docs writing 101
by Ankur Sinha
Hi!
I reached out to the docs team to see if they'd like to take a session
on writing documentation on the new docs.fp.o website[1].
Adam, one of the people working on the technical side of things, has
said that he'll like to take a session once the infra is set up,
probably before Flock. (Yay!). So I've added it to the classroom wiki
page. Once Adam is ready to take the session, we can decide who does
what in relation to the session.
Please reach out to other teams with ideas and request them to take
sessions, and once an instructor volunteers, drop the list an e-mail so
that everyone is kept in the loop.
PS: Anyone know someone that could take a session on security? Or on
something Gnome related, like writing extensions?

Looking for Fedora classroom wrangler(s)
by Ankur Sinha
Hi everyone!
We're looking for more helpers to mange the Fedora Classroom sessions.
Specifically, we're like a few more people to help out with the
management bit. The job is mainly to ensure that the required bits are
in place for the next classroom sessions. For example, the wrangler
would e-mail an instructor who has expressed interest to confirm a data
and time, and then would request a short summary that can be used for
the Fedora magazine announcement and so on. It isn't technical at all.
It'll be really useful to have a few people working on this, so that if
one person is too busy to handle it, there still are others that can
keep sessions running.
If you're new to Fedora, you can still sign up for this. I will be happy
to mentor new folks and help them settle into the role :)
