New Meeting Time - please fill out ASAP!
by Robyn Bergeron
Hey folks,
As you know with the recent DST changes for SOME of you (not those of us
in Arizona, ahem), as well as the change of the Infrastructure meeting
time, we've got some conflicts for people who can't attend.
So in the interest of keeping us all together, we're going to yet again
try to find a better time.

Please stick your name in the comments so I can make sure we know who
all has filled it out. If we can still stick with a time tomorrow, that
would be great, otherwise we'll bump out to next week (unless a good day
is Friday).

Testers needed for euca2ools on el5
by Garrett Holmstrom
Hi, folks!
Are you sick of being stuck with a closed-source CLI for Amazon AWS or
Eucalyptus because you use RHEL 5? Have you been rolling your own
euca2ools packages because no one else has? *cough*BoxGrinder*cough*
No longer! Now that all of its dependencies are available in EPEL 5,
you, too, can experience the convenience of being able to install
euca2ools from a repository you already use! Just install it from
epel-testing, give it a try, and give it +1 if it works. I appreciate
your feedback.

Request for OpenNebula to be included
by Jaime Melis
Hello,
I've posted recently a similar request to the main epel list and I have been
referred to this group. I'm an OpenNebula [1] developer, an we would like to
include OpenNebula in EPEL. To do so we would like to ask if there's anyone
interested in being a maintainer of the package. We (upstream OpenNebula)
would be very involved in this project, being co-maintainers. We would
provide upstream fixes, and testing.
We have a working version of a spec file that works in Fedora 14 and in RHEL
6. However I believe it can be greatly improved by someone with expertise on
RPM packaging.

Cloud SIG Meeting minutes, 2011-03-03
by Robyn Bergeron
Thanks for coming, peepz.
Please take a look at the logs - I imagine Mr. Laska will follow up when
he gets a chance, but we're going to be working with QA on developing
some criteria for EC2 images (ie: How do we know these are good?
Testing!). If you have any thoughts, let the list know.
Minutes and log follow. You guys rock!

Spins issue
by Paul W. Frields
As I was going through some email this morning I saw that the Spins
SIG is concerned that the Cloud SIG hasn't followed the Spins process
to get their "ec2" labeled Spin included in the spins-kickstart
collection in git:
http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/spins/2011-March/001734.html
If the Cloud group needs to see this Spin included in the F15 release,
then my recommendation is to start talking with the Spins SIG about
the process. I believe there's a deadline that's passed, although you
can request an exception and still make it into the release.
To the Spins SIG, I would also recommend keeping lines of
communication open if something goes wrong. A Cc: to the cloud@ list,
for example, would help raise the issue to more people in a way that
would help reach a solution faster.

Spins SIG meetings starting up again
by Bruno Wolff III
We are going to try to get Spins SIG meetings going again on Mondays at
20:00 UTC (this may change once DST is in play) in #fedora-meeting-1. If you
guys are still interested in either having an ISO published or having a ks
file included in the spin-kickstarts package, it would be good to have someone
from Cloud SIG attend. While technically this is past the deadline, I think
it is likely that exceptions will be made for spins that have been actively
being developed while Spins SIG was in remission. Having someone join the
spins list (if no one currently is) to keep an eye on updated information
would also be a good idea.
