As Jan mentions, we have cloud-init on RHEL5 with python26 at CERN. There will surely be
some details but it is a good basis for collaboration and integrates well with RHEL5
systems.

cloud-init-0.6.3-0.9.bzr532.el5 exists in EPEL5, it uses python26 from EPEL5.
