Yeah, but you'll have to add a bunch of other packages for that, too,

Does it help for authconfig to be there if samba isn't?
Figure it depends on what our cloud image is trying to achieve. Does it
try to
leverage any of the cloud use cases where SSO is usual / necessary?
Personally, I very much doubt it.
And as Adam said, authconfig usually doesn't do anything useful unless you
add a few other packages, too.
