connection refused from customized AMI...

Hi,

I have been working with the FC14 i386 AMI ( ami-669f680) but for some reason after I
customize and upload 
my own copy to S3 (and register it of course) the copy will boot but I cannot log into it
with ssh (connection refused...).
sshd is running, lots of packages installed but nothing that should have broken the
ability to log in AFAIK,,,

Can't remember ever having this problem before with another AMI.  I was able to
customize the FC14 X64 AMi with no issues... 
Anyone have any suggestions..?

FC14 AMI changes all user passwords on reboot, you need to remove those
configurations

iiinteresting... didn't seem to do that with the X64 version of the AMI; any idea
where that's located..?  
It's not obvious from a casual glance at what gets run at boot time.

Make sure your AWS security policy allows SSH (port 22). I did that
once (applied the wrong policy then couldn't figure out for a while
why SSH wasn't working).
