TL;DR: my tasks/changes need new (co-)owners and I offer to free my WG seat
Things (in terms of my contributions to Fedora / the Cloud SIG) looked really great in 2014Q1 and there was no reason to assume Q2 would be any different. That's why I felt happy and enthusiastic to take ownership of a few tasks/changes back then and my personal plan was to have all of them ready by the end of Q2. Well, early on I stumbled over much more and harder to (yet) overcome technical issues (mostly with anaconda) than expected and some unexpected bureaucracy didn't make it easier, either. Soon, my available time shrank as well and has hit zero a few weeks ago - really before I could get *anything* done. The outlook is bleak, and I currently don't expect I will have much time for contributions until at least end of September which is obviously very late for anything F21. From October, I might have a little more time once again depending on what kind of $dayjob I might end up doing from then on - Fedora related offers welcome! ;)
Now, I don't think the (WG's) idea has ever been that the "owners" are supposed to do all (or really any of?) the work so I hope I didn't block things, but since I haven't noticed any work on those tasks I thought I should finally give a long overdue heads-up about my situation so people can act accordingly.
I take all the blame that needs taking for things not delivered/-able on time, etc. and offer my apologies to everyone who feels left down by my irresponsible behavior.

Hi Sandro,
I hope you'll still be around in the SIG. Personally, I enjoyed our discussions and hope everything will go well.

Thanks for this, truly!

I, for one, don't agree with your description here. I appreciate your work, and hope you find time to come back / continue being involved to the best of your ability.
Best,

Hey Sandro! Thanks for your help on everything, and for the heads-up. No apologies are necessary, though -- I know how it is when you're contributing your time to work on something.
We'll find other people to work on the things you're listed as primary for. I think these are:
* http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Modular_Kernel_Packaging_for_Cloud * http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Smaller_Cloud_Image_Footprint * http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Atomic_Cloud_Image
(Anything else?)

As far as I know, this one is done. I haven't made changes in this area since it landed and I think the cloud images are actually using kernel-core now.

Awesome, thanks!
Hmmmm -- I think this slipped through the FESCo cracks and didn't make the change list. (I asked for it to be deferred pending the name change from "Docker Host Image" to "Fedora Atomic", and then I didn't re-propose it.)
CC'ing Jaroslav.... how do you think we should best handle this? New FESCo change ticket?
Thanks everyone, for the kind words

Yes, that sounds about right. As Josh mentioned, the first one is done (thanks to Josh!) and ready for testing (just changed it to ON_QA, too since it's been MODIFIED long enough).
Furthermore, I've also accepted the task to push the base and atomic cloud images through the spins process, which has not happened.
