Hey all,
so we have up some ec2 images of f16 beta, please test and provide feedback. They are all EBS backed. following is the list of amis per region:
us-east-1 i386: ami-2f69a446 x86_64: ami-d96ea3b0
us-west-1 i386: ami-6d4d1128 x86_64: ami-7f5a063a
eu-west-1 i386: ami-c4fbc9b0 x86_64: ami-d6fbc9a2
ap-southeast-1 i386: ami-c01b6192 x86_64: ami-201b6172
ap-northeast-1 i386: ami-e6bb0fe7 x86_64: ami-32bb0f33
Please share this with anyone you can think of. we should probably come up with some kind of announcement to send to announce@lists.fedoraproject.org

Using ami-d96ea3b0, yum upgrade fails due to grub2 and grub conflicts.
I'm posting this here because I think it's an ec2-specific bug, but I don't know for sure. For some reason, I was under the impression that the EC2 images still need grub, while the rest of Fedora 16 has moved to grub2.
But smarter folks than I will correct me and explain whether this bug is limted to F16 EC2, or is for F16 overall.

since ec2 uses pv-grub we need to not install grub or grub2. grub2's config file is incompatible. grub1 is no longer available. we just need a grub1 style config file.

Is there a bugzilla open for that somewhere? Where is it being tracked, etc.?
