I see that you've been commenting on the Github issue. That's probably the best place to pursue this problem especially since Jörgen says he's aware of it and will work on it. From what I understand, he's very busy.

I'll be following the issue myself to see how it turns out. I don't deal in EFI boot all that often.

There this no boot menu, and boot from the first entry.
