Cobbler Install On SLES 10 or 11

Can cobbler be installed on SLES 10 or 11? If not is anyone working to
make this happen?

I am trying to pass some variable via the comment section of either the
distro and/or profile and need some help

 

cobbler distro dumpvars --name=SLES10SP2-x86_64 | grep comment

 'comment': 'sles10sp2-x86_64',

Cobbler profile dumpvars -name=sles10sp2-generic | grep comment

 'comment': 'sles10sp2-x86_64',

 

I created a snippet for the following

 

#if $getVar('comment','') == "sles10sp2-x86_64"

        #set $vers="sles10sp2-x86_64-updates"

#end if

 

$vers

 

When this gets rendered it does not return sles10sp2-x86_64-updates but just
returns $vers so it appears that $getVar('comment','') is not working as
I
thought ?

We've had patches to our specfiles and init scripts to make them SLES 
friendly, so yes!

Let us know if you hit any weird pathing or requirements problems.

See a few days ago in the archives for some instructions on getting some 
specifics like import to work, though "cobbler distro add" and such for 
SuSE distros has worked for some time.

Improvements are always welcome.
