Cockpit UX enhancements for Grafton.

Hello all,

This is Devyani Kota, part of the RHGS team at RedHat, currently
contributing
to the Gluster storage plugin for cockpit-ovirt.
We have created a few mockups for the same, that are attached along with the
mail. We plan to add the 'Gluster' info under the Storage Tab listed on the
overview page.

Under this "Gluster" Tab, we will be listing:
1. The information of the hosts in the cluster, labelling the host machine
which is the hosted-engine.
2. The volumes on every host, and their respective info like, the device
that
they are mounted on, the size of the disk that they occupy, etc.

The mockups listed give a clear picture of the concept, and a simple
overview
on what we are trying to achieve.
Any reviews/suggestions on the same will be appreciated :)

I have a couple of questions and suggestions below.

Is this adding to the existing Storage page, or will it replace it?
Is this product supposed to be used together with the Red Hat Storage
Console, or is that a Cepth thing? As far as I can see from from the
Console UI, it doesn't seem to mention "Gluster", only "Cluster".

Cluster" part of "Hosts in Cluster" (just like you don't have "Volumes
in Cluster")
* The different columns might benefit from headers for the different
columns. What does "Hosted Engine" here indicate for example?

   This could have some accessibility issues for people with red-green
color blindness

   I would suggest using labels instead. Something like "Running" or such.

* For "size", it might be helpful to give some more visual aid, rather
than just the raw numbers, like a Progress bar indicating how full it

* What's "TYPE Distribute-Replicate (2x3)"?

This will not replace the existing Storage, but add functionality to manage
Gluster nodes, if gluster is installed.

No, this is standalone from the Red Hat Storage Console effort. We wanted a
light-weight UI for users to see the information related to a gluster
deployment.
