Reminder: Weekly IRC meeting in an hour!
by Justin W. Flory
Hi all,
Just as a general reminder, our weekly CommOps meeting is set to begin
an hour from now in IRC on #fedora-meeting-2 on freenode. We will be
covering our weekly agenda of topics, and if you have questions about
anything, this is definitely the best time to get them answered too!
Since the Fedocal calendar notifications *should* be correct now, this
will probably be the last time I send out a manual reminder. On the
topic of IRC meetings, based on the responses I received in the
WhenIsGood poll, it seems like the current meeting time was the best
time for most people (i.e. Tuesdays, UTC 17:00).

Sweet Sweet FOSS Alternatives Brochures from SXSW?
by Remy DeCausemaker
Mizmo,
Hope all is well :)
FAMNA asked during a recent meeting whether we still had any physical
copies or designs available from the Brochures we used one-upon-a-time at
SXSW?
If there are any more, FAMNA would like some. If there are not any printed,
then perhaps we can dig up where we got them printed at before and do
another run?
Thanks,

Community Blog status
by Ryan Lerch
Hi all,
We just have two more things to solve on the community blog before we
can start posting to it regularly.
1. Fix the permalinks
2. Fix SSL
once we are done with those, we can start posting our carefully crafted
posts focusing on members of the Fedora Community!

October Status for decause

Here is a semi-complete list of the things a decause did during the second

case I ever fail the bus/raptor test ;)
Someday, I'll get a email-odometer that just increments a counter everytime
I send an email, that way, folks can *really* get a feel for what I've been
up to ;)

5tftw, 2015-11-06
by Justin W. Flory
Hello all,
Below are some beginning suggestions I had for the next 5tftw
publication. I'm not sure if we're planning on one for this week since
it's going to be fairly packed (maybe better reason to definitely do
one?) but in either case, I believe this content would be good to report
on for the next publication.
=========
Fedora 23
=========
I think this one is pretty straightforward so I won't do an explanation,
but I think it might be a good idea to make this a summary of good
technical changes and good community stuff.
=======================
Fedora Developer Portal
=======================
On November 2nd, the Fedora Developer Portal [1] was released to the
public. In short, the portal supports developers working on software
projects with Fedora or inside a virtual machine. It's a central hub for
numerous resources to help both new and current developers set up their
workspaces for new projects. You can read more in the announcement post. [2]
==========================================
Fedora Outreachy Application Window Closed
==========================================
On Monday, November 2nd, the Fedora Outreachy internship [3] application
period officially ended. Fedora was seeking to fill two positions in the
Project, one to assist on development of the upcoming Fedora Hubs [4]
web application and another to assist with community operations [5].
Selection decisions will be posted on November 17th! Best of luck to all
of our applicants.
I know this past week's 5tftw had a snippet about Outreachy, so you can
use your best judgement as to whether or not it should be mentioned
again this upcoming week.
I really feel like this is sniping off the obvious, but hopefully it
serves as a good starter for the upcoming post. Thanks all!

The quarterly reports will be compiled by regional treasurers, signed-off
on by the FCL, and then posted publicly to budget.fp.o.

Good questions, thanks for asking them. Perhaps this information can be
added to the budget.fp.o wiki page too for future reference.
Looking Forward,

Community Blog: Developer Portal article
by Justin W. Flory
Hello all,
I just wanted to share the link to the Developer Portal snippet for the
Community Blog. It's currently drafted up and sitting pretty in the
drafts box.
http://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/?p=77&preview=true
I guess the real dilemma to publishing this is for getting SSL taken
care of (should be done by tomorrow) as well as trying to fix the
permalinks (ryanlerch / croberts may know more about this, there was an
issue before).
Thanks all.
