Following up on this now! Now that my exams are finished, I've had more
time to swing around and finish up on things. I submitted a PR to the
freenode website with a blog post titled, "Celebrating Fedora 25 with
freenode". I would appreciate any feedback on the post (preferably in
the GitHub issue, but the Marketing mailing list works fine as well).
https://github.com/freenode/web-7.0/pull/276
Let me know if anyone has any thoughts on this! Hopefully we can get
this added to the front page of https://freenode.net soon. :)

[fedora-commops] Issue #92 `Start a yearly Fedora Appreciation Day`
by Pagure
bex added a new comment to an issue you are following:
``
> @bex, we were hoping to get your thoughts on holding this somewhere in July (to give some wiggle room if F26 delays). If the timeframe sounds good, we can work on selecting a definite date or range of days to hold the Appreciation Day event.
I see nothing driving me toward any particular day in July. However, I'd encourage a quick search of global holiday calendars to make sure you won't hit a golden week or something similar. My quick search showed the most holidays in the first 10 days or so of July. Therefore, In the absence of anything else, I suggest the 2nd-last weeks for consideration,
> The idea was that once we lock down on a date, we can begin doing some preliminary messaging like creating a wiki page to host information about the event, and a CommBlog post to help raise awareness that this is something happening this summer (we'll likely write more later on, but this is just a first step).
I encourage you to start drafting the material now. I suspect it will take longer than you think to finalize once people start offering feedback.

intro
by Andreas Nazlidis
Hello, my name is andreas and i live in greece, i am a new fedora user
and member, i have been using several other distros the last 5 years
and i've finally ended up in fedora. I want to join the project in
order to expand my knowledge, acquire new skills and of course to help
the community. I am a computational physicist, i have a basic knowledge
in c/c++, python, fortran77, latex, matlab/octave, git and some machine
learning. I'm currently searching for a job. Finally, regarding
CommOps, i'm interesting in metrics. I have no previous experience with
any FOSS project, so some guidance would be helpful.

Fwd: FAS3 meetup recap 2016-Dec-06
by Justin W. Flory
Forwarding this over to the list to keep you in the loop. In mid-January
to February, we should see the latest version of FAS (a.k.a.
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/) go live on the production
servers. This is really big news and brings a lot of modern, refreshing
UI/UX changes. :)
If someone had the time, this would be a great thing to write about on

[Minutes] [2016-12-06] Elections, Marketing on-boarding
by Justin W. Flory
Hey all, the weekly CommOps meeting just came to a close. This week's
meeting mostly focused on two topics, being the Elections coverage and
Marketing on-boarding. We're in a tighter crunch than we realized for
the Elections, so we did some shuffling around to re-prioritize. As for
Marketing, we're going to work on identifying tasks and roles to help
better understand the sub-project.
Thanks all for coming!
