Once the email to announce list goes out, we will do a "same-as" post on
CommBlog too.
Cc'ing commops list to get this on the radar.

Hi Ardian,
Very glad to hear you're interested! Thoughts, opinions, and
brainstorming will be very useful in getting this running and back off
the ground.
Getting some badges especially would be a great idea for this. Coming up
with on-boarding badges is part of what CommOps can help identify and
help with, so I am CC'ing the CommOps list to put it on the radar.

Ticket #38: Discussing our on-boarding process
by Justin W. Flory
Hello all,
This email is more of an announcement about an important change to how
we will make decisions in CommOps.
At today's meeting, to help make it easier to be involved with the
decisions we make, we decided to use voting in tickets as our method
making decisions. The voting is done in a lazy consensus style, and
there is a 48 hour window after sharing with the mailing list before the
ticket can be approved.
The details about this will be added in Ticket #38 and also added to our
wiki page.
https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-commops/ticket/38
If you're not familiar with lazy consensus, it is fairly
straightforward. People can vote with a +1, +0, or -1 on something. If
no -1 votes are given, it is assumed everyone is +1. If a -1 vote is
given, discussion will ensue.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask about this! There will
be an application of this process sent out next...

[Vote] Deciding on our Join process
by Justin W. Flory
Hello all,
In our meeting today, we discussed the ideas for a final "Join" wiki
page for CommOps. The 6-step process I originally proposed was modified
to an 8-step process, requiring registration on the Community Blog and
beginning to earn the "Bootstrapped!" series badge.
https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-commops/ticket/37
Please see this ticket and leave your vote on if this process seems
sound. As mentioned in the previous email, this will follow the new
voting method using lazy consensus. If no negative votes are given, we
will begin finalizing this on the wiki on Thursday.
Thanks!

Bylines on Community Blog?
by Joe Brockmeier
Hey all,
Any chance of getting proper bylines on the community blog? That is, you
know, a name with a link to a bio for the author? (And I do mean *name*
not just someone's nick.)
I like the footer on Fedora Magazine with the author's name, bio, and
link to site + Twitter.
Best,
jzb
