Hey Drew!
Hi, everyone. I am new to this community and wanted to take a minute
to
introduce myself. My name is Drew and I have used Linux off and on for
about eight years or so.
Wow, that's quite an experience!
My background is in Debian-based systems, but I
think I am
quickly getting the hang of Fedora. I am looking forward to
working with this community, as I feel like this is really what I was
missing when I was trying to get involved with Debian.
Cool! We're happy to have you here. It's a little harder to get
involved in Debian as IIRC 2 sponsorship from existing developers is
required. Let me know if you're still interested in helping out with
Debian too, could get you in loop with one of the Debian developers.
Contributing to multiple opensource projects is a norm, even if they
are considered "competitors" as we're still one big opensource family.
:)
I feel I can still bring something to this community.
I have
the ability to take complicated tasks and break them down into
either more manageable tasks or instructions for those who don't
understand the initial information.
You'll be an excellent contributor! We really need people like you,
especially for Ambassadors and Common Ops.
With that being said, I feel like I could be an asset on this team.
Definitely!
I am
willing to give pretty much every aspect a try, but what I
really like
at face value is the idea of the hubs, the wiki and anything that has to
do with the "internal communications" section of the wiki page. I would
like to help bring the community together in any way that I can.
Alright! That's a great way to start off! We've got Wiki gardening
tasks once in a while. Other than that, I think you would be a
brilliant story teller and editor, do try to help us out with
reviewing and editing community blog articles when people request for
feedback.
I look forward to working with you all,
Thanks Drew! Looking forward to collaborating with you as well! ;)
Best Regards,
