Hey guys,

Thank you for all the awesome resources. I've just subscribed to the mailing list to stay informed.

Also, I just started using IRC, so I find the links very helpful.

Thanks again and I'll keep in touch!

Sincerely,
Sylvia Dolmo

Hi All,

I just want to introduce myself. I am a junior web developer and recent
graduate of Flatiron School.

I met with Remy in January at the WiTNY Conference and I have been
looking into the Outreachy program. I'm interested in getting involved
in the open source community and I noticed that the Outreachy project
listed for 2016 is the Fedora Kernel Tooling Project. However, there are
several other links that show other projects.

I would like to know, is there a link with all the projects available
for round 12 or is the kernel tooling project the only one? Also, is
there someone I can direct all my questions to throughout this process?

Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Sylvia! Welcome to Fedora CommOps. :) Remy pretty much said everything I would have said, but I wanted to add a few more things too.

Firstly, definitely subscribe to the mailing list to keep yourself updated on replies and new posts to the CommOps list. That will keep you in the loop about what's going on in our sub-project.

Secondly, another *super* awesome resource for becoming more familiar with IRC is this Fedora Magazine article. You may find some of the tips and info in here very useful for getting started.

Another +1 for playing around badges as a good way to get started. Not to mention you can pick up some stylish badges to show off on your Badges profile too!

Again, welcome to the team! Looking forward to having you here with us in CommOps and also with Fedora. :)
