I agree with Dan. We don't need repeat messages on the IRC which we will
find in our emails. Just the important ones will do.

Hmm, that's true… maybe this would be better as an ancillary notification
in the additional channel. I personally like this notification, but if
someone is subscribed to the list, it would make sense for them to just
check their email instead.
