So, I am attaching the data for FOSDEM 2014,2015 and 2016. I am working
on the buckets as discussed in IRC yesterday and will mail shortly. It
contains the list of FOSDEM participants who claimed the badge,
newcomers amongst them and their contribution activity for short
term(one month pre/post the event) and long term(one year pre/post the
event) along with the increase/decrease in their activity after the event.
So this data answers questions like (as proposed by jflory7)
* How did we do at [X] event?
* How does it compare to prior events?
* Did we impact more people here based on the number of people who have
* Did contributors come back to the event ?
For questions like
* How did the event impact areas of Fedora like badges, commblog etc ?
* How far did event-goers go into Fedora?
I need to dive in deeper :)
This data is *fantastic*. I wonder if there is a more static location we can place that data so it is more widely accessible to other interested viewers? I'm partially inclined to say "wiki", but then again, I'm not entirely sure.
Maybe someone else has some suggestions for a cool place we can put this data up and have it be easily editable by others? If not, then I think we should look at getting a wiki page up as a place to put this.
This kind of thing really *really* excites me. It's so cool knowing that we can pull these stats together using things that already exist in our own infrastructure!
