Hi everyone! Michael Downey here -- I'm a long-time supporter of
free & open source software, and Fedora user for the past several years. I've been
looking forward to contributing for quite a while. I've been doing open source
community stuff since 2009, most recently with OpenMRS, an open source Health IT platform,
and since the end of may, helping with the launch the new LibreHealth community.
Because of the new wiki anti-spam process that started this weekend, [0] I'm not able
to set up a personal homepage there yet, but you can find me around the web and on IRC as
"downey". While I'm eager to "chip in" wherever I can around here
once I learn more about what's needed, with my background I'm extra interested in
Messaging, Hubs, Wiki, Culture, & Metrics (as listed on the CommOps "Join"
wiki page that I can't yet edit.) ;-)
I'm working on my badges [1] already and hope to see some of you in the
#fedora-commops IRC meeting this Tuesday. Nice to "meet" you all!
Cheers,
Michael

Hi Michael! Took me a little longer than I wanted to circle back around
to this. :)
Welcome aboard to CommOps! It sounds like you're no newcomer to open
source, and there's definitely plenty of ways we could use your help
across the project and CommOps. I didn't know something like LibreHealth
existed, I'll have to go give it a look. :)
I think you should be all set when it comes the wiki page now that
you're sponsored into the FAS group. If you have any other problems,
just let us know.
You're already off to a hot start with the Magazine article! Looking
forward to seeing what else we accomplish together. Welcome again!
