Hi there,
we (l10n team) would like to write a short blog post about the possibility to translate into Filipino, and request for contributions.
As I'm not a good writer, neither English native, I don't feel like comfortable writing a draft for this...
We started the process a two months ago: https://pagure.io/g11n/issue/43
Basic information to provide:
* tell a few facts about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filipino_language
* currents goals are to translate websites and a as much priority packages as possible (starting with Fedora Media Writer)
* invite to join localization team: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/L10N/Join
* for any question, send an email to https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/trans-fil@lists.fedoraproject.... or open a request at https://pagure.io/g11n/
Add a little warning, Gnome cannot _yet_ be translated in Filipino https://l10n.gnome.org/languages/
If enough contributors, they definitely should organize themselves and start translating this great (and huge) piece of software. We'll help them to get the contacts if needed.
thanks a lot for your help,
Hi Jean-Baptiste,
Thanks for bringing this to the list and thanks for your patience for a reply. Could you actually file a ticket for this, since you're requesting help to write the article?
I don't have the bandwidth to write this article right now, but we can leave it open and see if another team member is interested in helping with the article. A ticket will let us leave it open and see if we can find an interested writer.
You can file the ticket here:

Thanks for pitching this here – we'll see if we can match a writer up to this idea. :)
