I always thought South India was the most active when it came to Linux
and FOSS in general. After all, there are so many FOSS groups that
evangelize and work towards the adoption of FOSS in all sectors.

I couldn't agree more, we have see a lot of very big conferences, events and activities
happening in South India which aims at creating a strong and impactful community for FOSS.
We have a lot of very good people who help out new comers and get them started with FOSS.
