Here are a few suggestions for NLP-related tasks :

1. Analyse Fedora IRC Channel conversations to find expertise of contributors.

i.e. Contributors hang out in different IRC channels and have different domains of expertise (sometimes channel-specific or not). Analyse IRC conversations to find out areas of expertise of contributor. Could be helpful in finding the "right person" for the task/mentoring/problem solving.(especially for newcomers/ tasks outside a specific team) 

2. Sentiment Analysis to find which application needs most help/development , what are users mostly contributing on , which tasks are relatively tougher and need senior contributors to work on them.

These are just some rough ideas which I think would be helpful. Please add more to the list or tell me your inputs/suggestions on these .
