Since you are local to Rochester, I know Ralph Bean (threebean) is organizing a Fedora Activity Day (FAD) on Nov 14th-15th locally this weekend. Your experience working with the Ubuntu community sounds both rewarding and valuable, and I think it will serve you well in working with Fedora. If I don't see you this weekend, then I'd def like to grab a bite or beverage with you in the near future before December.
