Just to offer my own thoughts, I think the idea of including questions
about living arrangements / general environment that people live in
can be useful for getting a better idea of the time that people have
to contribute, the hours spent contributing, and maybe help illuminate
potential for burn-out / drop-off.

As pertains to the survey got some rather negative feedback on the
wording of the gender and disability aspects will update the list as a
better less alienating setup is ironed out with a contact in that
community ( namely LBGT | cis|tran)
