this ticket. First task ever with CommOps, first task ever with Fedora, I'm
quite excited!

The Budget calendar has been created and before I get started I've got a couple
of questions:
1. I think we said that the dates should be set to the 15th of the month?
(sorry but my short term memory isn't functioning well tonight...)
2. There aren't any hours on Budget.next, so I'm assuming we'll have a full
day
event? OTOH if we need to set hours should they be UTC? Here's the part in
Fedocal docs hinting that we better stick to no timezone:
- meeting timezone: the timezone in which to store the meeting. If stored
in UTC the meeting time will change according to the Daylight saving
time (DST), if stored in a specific timezone the time will remain
constant over the year despite of DST.
Fedocal is a quite a neat app btw ;) pingou++

Hmm, I should have gone through the whole process so I don't have to come back
with more questions... :(

No problem, a few questions never hurt anyone. Best to be clear than to
finish it without being certain.

I think you could assume a safe default of one hour. I'm quite sure what
Remy's plans were for how long this would be, but usually meetings in
Fedora channels last an hour.
For now, default to that, and we can change it later on in the future if
they do happen to be longer.

Usually Fedocal locations are IRC channels, formatted in ways like this:
* fedora-meeting(a)irc.freenode.net
* fedora-meeting-1(a)irc.freenode.net
* fedora-commops(a)irc.freenode.net
For now, why don't we run this meeting in
fedora-commops(a)irc.freenode.net until we have a definite time for when
it will be hosted?
Realistically, it would probably be very annoying to host a meeting in
our channel because of the fedmsg notifications, so we will likely use a
#fedora-meeting channel down the line. But for now, stick the CommOps
channel location in there as a safe default.
- Do we want reminders? If yes, Fedocal wants to know who to
"send from" and
where to "send to".
Generally, yes, reminder emails are a good idea. I usually default to
one day reminders from my fedoraproject.org email to a mailing list. For
this, you could insert your Fedora Project email
(viorel(a)fedoraproject.org) as the from address,
commops(a)lists.fedoraproject.org as the to address.
Since the budget is a less-frequently visited thing, it might be better
to have notifications farther ahead… but default to one day for now is
probably not a bad idea.
Lastly if you can have a look at the Feb-15th test and let me know if needs
more work would be great:

The description for the calendar entry is great, that's super
informative and will be good to make sure everyone subscribed knows who
is responsible for what. The only issue I see is that it's set to an
all-day meeting, but that's a small fix and you did just ask about it
above. :)

I'm inclined to say if a date does fall on a weekend, just move it to
Monday. Official Red Hatters are off on the weekends so it we will want
to avoid weekends for setting dates where possible.
If two events overlap, we can set them to happen an hour after each

events up to 2016-08-15 although both the calendar view and the "My meetings"
tab under my profile show all the meetings up to 2017-07-17.
I posted the question on both #fedora-commops and #fedora-apps (found Fedocal
listed under Infrastructure but didn't want to spam one more channel...).
Thought I should get someone else to confirm whether it's me or a bug

This definitely seems like it would be an issue to me? It would probably
be a good idea to file an issue in the Fedocal issue tracker on GitHub.
That way, the Infrastructure team will have a static report where they
can look into it and fix it if needed.
