Hi guys,
My name is Renato Silva, I'm a software engineer from Brazil for the past 8 years.
I've been using all kinds of open source software in this time and I thought that
would be great to contribute to the community.
Most of the time I'm working with Java, some Python and Docker, but I've been
studying Haskell and functional programming for a little while, it has been pretty fun and
I'd like to expand my knowledge in this field.
Although I still don't quite understand how Fedora communities are organized, I think
that for CommOps I can offer some help with metrics or any other piece of software.
I'm here to help and learn.
Best,
Renato
Hi Renato, welcome to the CommOps mailing list! Sorry for the late reply
back here. It was good to talk with you in the IRC channel and help get
you up to speed!
Just to recap from some of our earlier discussion and to help share some
useful links, there's a lot of cool things you can check out related to
metrics. I think Bhagyashree (bee2502) or Sachin (skamath) are better
able to offer specific help for this, but here's some things that should
be helpful for you to check out:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/CommOps#Metrics_2
In that toolbox, one of the coolest things you can learn more about is
fedmsg, which is the "event bus" that emits a notification for about
every kind of trackable event in the project:

To see some of the specific tasks that we're working on or trying to
solve with data, check out some of these tickets:

Hope some of this is helpful to you! If you have any questions, please
don't be afraid to reach out. :) Happy hacking!
