Summary: Container Review Request: cassandra - OpenSource
database server for high-scale application
Product: Fedora Container Images
Version: 26
Component: Container Review
Assignee: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
Reporter: trepik(a)redhat.com

Dockerfile URL:

Other files URL: https://trepik.fedorapeople.org/fedora-cassandra-3.9/v0/
Description: Cassandra is a partitioned row store. Rows are organized into
tables with a required primary key. Partitioning means that Cassandra can
distribute your data across multiple machines in an application-transparent
matter. Cassandra will automatically re-partition as machines are added/removed
from the cluster. Row store means that like relational databases, Cassandra
organizes data by rows and columns. The Cassandra Query Language (CQL) is a
close relative of SQL.
You can find more information on the Apache Cassandra project from the project
Web site (https://cassandra.apache.org).

Summary: Container Review Request - docker - the docker daemon
as a system container
Product: Fedora Container Images
Version: rawhide
Component: Container Review
Assignee: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
Reporter: jzehrarnyg(a)gmail.com

CC: container-review(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
Container Build Info URL:
https://github.com/projectatomic/atomic-system-containers/tree/master/docke…
Description: This is the docker daemon (https://github.com/moby/moby) in a
system container. This is effectively a duplicate of the container-engine
system container that current lives in the fedora registry. If this container
image passes review, the container-engine system container will take advantage
of FLIBS and will just be another layer on top of this image.
There are 2 reasons for this:
1. The container-engine system container was designed to be an abstract daemon
meant to potentially provide multiple runtimes in the future. As such it makes
more sense to abstract out the container-engine system container.
2. The container image should match the name of the package it provides (in
this case, docker). Although this image current only provides the docker
daemon, there are plans to provide the client as well, so it makes sense to use
the rpm name.

Container Build Info URL:
https://github.com/projectatomic/atomic-system-containers/tree/master/docke…
Description: This is the container engine system container for fedora systems
based on the moby project. Effectively, this container provides the
functionality of what was previously known as the docker daemon. Note that this
only provides the daemon process, and does not include CLI tools.
Currently, this container requires runc 1.0.0 rc3, which is in f26 and rawhide
but not f25 yet. The build for f25 is already in bohdi but not yet stable, so
if you wish to test on f25 you would need a newer version of the runc package.
