Just a note: as a python application it can also just be put
in /usr/lib/python*/site-packages/... just like any python library.

That's what I've done for fedocal at least.

Yes. But I tend to put into %{python_sitelib} just pure python. But we 
have images, html templates, javascript there... so in this case I 
chosen that it is rather web applications. But it is fifty-fifty (and 
all are better then /srv/). I just chosen one.
