re-provision bare metal with updated ignition
by Aleksandar Kostadinov
Hello,
I successfully installed CoreOS on bare metal (with some reported issues related to wifi and TPM luks).
Now my question is where is the original ignition file kept and how to re-provision this machine when I update my ignition. My use case is:
1. install machine from USB drive `sudo coreos-installer install /dev/sda -i /mnt/my.ign`
2. position at a remote location
3. be able to re-provision at remote location with a new ignition
Can I just run the same command `sudo coreos-installer install /dev/sda -i /mnt/my.ign` on the machine with coreos already installed and what will be the result?
Will I get the latest coreos provisioned or the one that I originally did without updates?
Will `my.ign` be stored anywhere on the machine or is it gone after install?
Thank you!
P.S. any suggestion how to build a very small and cheap tang server? I don't know Arduino Nano or something like this? Is it possible? Something very easy to maintain.
