Hi,
I'm not sure why I should use an Ignition file to define the hostname.
What happens if I create /etc/hostname in CLI of the booted VM instance?
Will this not be available after reboot?

You can change the hostname by dropping in a file into /etc/hostname
using Ignition I believe.
