Hi,
Hi Farkas,
Has Anyone used to see the console of a coreos machine? bare metal or
even virt?
It's full of audit and selinux messages. simple it's impossible to read and write
anything on it.
Yes. It's a known issue we're tracking in
https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-tracker/issues/220
and also in
https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-tracker/issues/461.
There is a lot of context there, but essentially we're not happy with the console
getting flooded with
messages, but we do think it's important to keep the kernel logging level at the
current level. That being
said here is something you can do now to get a better experience:
https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-tracker/issues/220#issuecomment-6...
Can you login on the console?
I can, but it's not a good user experience. Usually I just use the console to get the
IP address and then
use SSH.
Nobody really cares about it?
For interactive interactions I think people prefer to SSH and only use the console if they
absolutely have
to. We do want to fix this, though.
